REAL D-L 2/2023, of March 16, on urgent measures for the establishment of a new public pension system.
This regulation aims to expand the rights of pensioners, reduce the gender gap and establish a new framework for the sustainability of the public pension system. The regulation includes measures such as the gradual increase in the maximum contribution base, the introduction of a solidarity contribution for those with incomes higher than the maximum base and the replacement of the sustainability factor with a new mechanism that guarantees the stability of the system.
Its entry into force in general is on 04/01/23, although for certain changes, a much longer transitional period is provided, which we will indicate together with each of the measures that we summarize below:
