The Union for the Defense of Solidarity with the Workers of Spain has called a nationwide general strike for the full day of November 24, 2023 .

The timetable included in the call is from 00:00 to 23:59 hours, affecting all workers in all private companies and public bodies in Spain.

The employment contract of workers who opt for their right to support the strike will be suspended during the strike day. Such workers will not be entitled to receive the salary corresponding to the day of strike, nor will they be entitled to receive the proportional part of the extra pay or the weekly rest days. For its part, the company will not be obliged to pay social security contributions for that day.

It is not advisable to take any disciplinary action against the employee for having supported the strike during that day.
