STRIKE CALLED FOR DECEMBER 25 AND 31 AND JANUARY 1,5,6 IN THE HOTEL AND CATERING SECTOR IN THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID

Comisiones Obreras de Madrid has called a strike on December 25 and 31, as well as on January 1, 5 and 6 in the hotel and catering sector, following the failure to reach an agreement in the negotiation of the sector's collective bargaining agreement.

The employment contract of the workers who choose to support this strike will be suspended during that day, and they will not be entitled to receive the corresponding salary, nor the proportional part of the extra pay or the weekly rest days.

On the other hand, the company will not be obliged to pay Social Security contributions for that day.

Likewise, it is not advisable to take any disciplinary action against the employee for the fact of having supported the strike during that day.
